National Dairy Research Institute

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), rare of its kind in Asia which imparts education in dairy research. The institute was first established in 1923 in Bangalore named as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, which was later renamed as Imperial Dairy Institute in 1936. NDRI shifted to its present location in 1955.
The institute had been given the status of Deemed University in 1989. NDRI provides hostel with all modern facilities to its students.
