National Dairy Research Institute is the premier organization that is primarily responsible for providing R&D support for Dairy Development programmes of the country.

The Institute offers various teaching programmes at Graduate, Post-Graduate and Doctorate level for the purpose of grooming trained man power in dairying to meet challenges at national and international requirement. All research laboratories are equipped with ultra modern equipment and state-of-the-art technological facilities.

Over the years, the centre has gained quite a good standing as the leading research organization on global basis. The Institute works in close collaboration with a variety of National and International developmental agencies to assist the country in its dairy development plans.
